I've decided to stop bitching, and start living. So I'm unemployed, for almost a year now. SO WHAT. It ain't for lack of trying that I still don't have a job. I may as well embrace it.
There are a number of great amazing things about being unemployed (in case you didn't know).
1. I don't have to set an alarm clock. EVER. In fact, I don't even know HOW to set my alarm clock. It was a Christmas gift last year, and I was laid off before I got the hang of it. (and don't laugh, it's some kind of high tech works with your iPhone and can cook you a steak kind of alarm clock, not a wind up toy)
2. I get to spend allot of time with my son. Yes, somedays this makes me want to scream and pull my hair out, but I'm not bald yet, so the good days must be out weighing the bad.
3. I get to go to the gym, EVERY DAY if I want, at a normal decent hour. Not at 4 freakin 30 in the morning.
4. Daytime TV. Who knew!!!! Wendy Williams, The FOOD Network. Although I don't get to watch TV very often (see reason #2), it's a nice change when I do.
5. I am more relaxed. Oh sure, that may be the wine talking, but now I actually have time to clean the house, do some laundry, and I don't feel like a slave to it when I did at 5:30 when I'd get home from work.
6. I am on the internet a million times less. And yes, that is a good thing.
7. And the best thing..I've relearned how to play cops and robbers, I've relearned that you don't need wings to fly, even if you're a submarine, and that all you have to do to be a part of the Scooby Gang is just to say that you are. That's all it takes. And that's the best.
8. I still hate Lego's though.

Good for you!!!! I am glad that you find joy because you deserve it!
