Dolphin VS Elephant

Dean and I gave away some toys today.  Something that was much needed. Allot of stuffed animals didn't make the cut to stay, and that was a good thing.  He never plays with them at all. The funny part happened later...and went a bit like this:

Me:  So Dean and I donated some toys today, allot of stuffed animals, I  was very proud of him.
Him: oh, great, hey, you didn't donate that dolphin, did you?
Me: Dolphin?  No I don't think so...what dolphin?
Him: The one from the day he was born!!!!
Me: Dolphin?
HIm: Yes, from the nurse, she gave him a stuffed dolphin
'Me: Um. Dude. That was an elephant.
Him: No. after he was born, the nurse GAVE HIM A DOLPHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: No, um. actually, (and I'm sorry if you were sleeping dear) she said that she brought one stuffed animal to her work every day, and gave it to the mom who did the best in delivery, and she was surprised to give it to her first birth of the day (and, um, that was me by the way,and that's why we HAVE AN ELEPHANT!!!!!)
Him: No, it was a DOLPHIN!!  YOU DIDN'T GIVE IT AWAY, DID YOU???

SIGH.
