It's about 2 1/2 hours away actually...assuming I don't get lost or purposely pull into the first liquor store drive through that I come to.
Baby Shower. Husbands "step" niece. We say "hi" at Christmas.
Do I really have to go...as in physically attend?
Help me with the proper etiquette here. (It's so nice to have the internet to think for me, really it is. Saves me allot of feeling guilty about not making the right decision when I can say "but the internet said!!")

Absolutely not! Honestly, do you think she'll be utterly disappointed if you don't go either? I say send a card with a gift card in it - that saves on postage of a package too - and she can pick out her own gift!

I think if she gets a gift, she'll be happy :) Although, a drive like that in solitude sounds like a pretty good idea ...

nope. i wouldn't go. only you michiganders drive all over hell & back for stuff. say you're busy beautifying your wooded area...

UGH 10 years ago I would say what the hell could be fun, but not now stay home send a card or gift in the mail. Do you really think she is going to say I can't believe Diva didn't show. Or has she drove across state to visit you??
